BLADE SELECTION CHART

Due to recent customer feedback we would like to advise that this table is given as a guide only.

Due to the wide variations in hardness and abrasiveness of many materials, we suggest you contact us if you have any doubts or would like confirmation that the blade you have selected is right for the job at hand.

Factors such as machine being used, RPM's, wet or dry cutting, speed and finish of cut required may also affect blade choice. We'd much rather hear from you and ensure you get the best possible blade!!!

DESCRIPTIONS:

YES BEST SUITED

The blade was designed for cutting this material. It should provide a good cutting speed and long life in the material.

OKSUITABLE

Although not specifically designed for this material, the blade should cut it effectively. It may not last as long, or cut as fast as it would in the material it was designed for.

NO NOT SUITABLE

Using the blade in the wrong material can cause problems with cutting speed, life of blade and general performance problems. It could also become dangerous if the blade becomes overheated.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION RELATING TO DIAMOND BLADE USE

  • Use the correct diamond blade specification and proper saw for material to be cut.
  • If in doubt, please ask us for advice.
  • Use of the wrong type of blade may cause premature wear, or low cutting performance.

  • Inspect the diamond blade for damage before mounting on saw.
  • Check the saw for proper and safe operating conditions.

  • Be sure the diamond blade is mounted on correct diameter shaft, with arrow in the proper direction and the blade flange is securely tightened with wrench.
  • Always wear proper safety equipment: safety glasses, protective clothing, safety footgear and respiratory equipment where required.
  • Inspect the diamond blade periodically during use for fatigue cracks, segment damage, core flatness, arbor hole damage and undercutting.

    • Never operate any saw without safety guards in place and properly secured.
    • Don't exceed maximum safe operating speed established for the diamond blade.

    • Don't force, jam or twist the diamond blade while cutting.

    • Don't use the sides of the diamond blade for grinding.
    • To avoid overheating, don't make long continuous cuts with dry diamond blades.
    • Allow the diamond blade to cool by running it in the air freely every few minutes.
  •
